Take A ‘Moment’ To Get To Know Sewuese

29/04/2010

African-born, British-raised songstress Sewuese has been creating quite a stir on the UK soul scene for quite a while now, having worked with high-profile artists such as Estelle, Ty, Lemar and Bugz In The Attic and impressing legends such as Lionel Ritchie, Wyclef John and Leon Ware with her performances.  2010 is now her turn to step into the spotlight.

It appears that she definitely has what it takes to make it ‘big’. She has the ‘look’ of a star that’s for sure but, more importantly, she also has the voice to back it up. She currently has a buzz single doing the rounds entitled ‘The Moment’ produced by Donae’o, aswell as a number of tracks available for FREE from her bandcamp page, all building up to the release of a new EP later this year.

Check out a beautiful acoustic version of ‘The Moment’ below.

Sewuese is great! My friend has worked with her and recommended that I check her out…pleased I did, very talented musician!

For those of you interested in the soul vibe, have a little looksie at this girl too:

It’s a competitive industry, but if artists like Sewuese and Salena are working hard with a sound built on the foundations of soul, then it can only serve to drive this industry! (I think, anyhow!)
