Preview: Tru Thoughts Kick Off The New Year In Style!

04/01/2010

Well here we are, the start of a new year! I hope everyone enjoyed the festivities and I also hope I’m not the only one to have broken my new year’s resolutions already 😉

Most have us have barely drew breath but the folks over at Tru Thoughts have been working hard to ensure the new year gets off to a great start.

First up, on January 11th we have the release of Kylie Auldist’s latest single from her Made Of Stone album. Then February 8th sees the release of the first single from The Bamboos upcoming album, which coincidentally also features Kylie on vocal duties. Below you can check out the tracks along with some more info on each release.

11th January: Kylie Auldist – In A Week, In A Day (Ashley Beedle Streetsoul Edit)

The second single from Kylie’s fantastic Made Of Stone is a remix by none other than Ashley Beedle. Also included on the 12″ is a PTH Projects remix of ‘In A Week, In A Day’ and two great remixes of ‘One Goodbye’ , one by Hint and the other by Soul:UK favourite Flevans.

8th February: The Bamboos – On The Sly ft. Kylie Auldist

The Bamboos make a much anticipated return with their fourth abum, 4, on 29th March. The first single taken from the album is ‘On The Sly’ featuring regular collaborator Kylie Auldist. The B side, ‘Turn It Up’ is a great slice of funk featuring the MC Lyrics Born. The single also features instrumental and a cappella versions of both tracks.
